Like you, we're passionate about protecting the wild spaces we love. We were tired of seeing surf wax made with harsh chemicals that harm the ocean we cherish. We knew there had to be a better way, a way to create a high-performance wax that’s gentle on the planet and deepens our connection to it.

My own connection to the ocean runs deep. I grew up on a yacht, my childhood a constant dance with the rhythms of the sea. We circumnavigated the globe, my classroom the ever-changing horizon. The ocean was my playground, my teacher, my constant companion. It instilled in me a profound respect for its power and a deep love for its wild beauty. That upbringing shaped who I am and ignited a lifelong passion for protecting our oceans.
Life eventually led me to the Gold Coast, just before Covid. While I'd surfed as a teen, my boards had spent years traveling the country with me, never touching the water. But this was my chance to reconnect with the ocean. Surfing became my avenue to rebuild that bond, that strength I draw from my relationship with the water. It was a true awakening. As a husband and father, this reconnection took on even greater meaning. I felt a growing need to contribute to positive environmental outcomes. I wanted to learn how we could make a difference in our daily lives. I started by buying what I thought was environmentally friendly surf wax and even tried recycling it off my board. But I knew there had to be a better way.
I started this journey much like you might: searching for more meaning in the everyday. It was simple trip to the local market where I stumbled upon a stall selling local honey and beeswax that sparked an idea. Could we create a wax that performed beautifully and honoured the natural world?
The journey wasn't easy. Months of experimenting, nearly 90 different batches, went into finding the perfect blend. I obsessed over every detail, from the tackiness to the temperature resistance. I wanted a wax that would hold up on any wave, in any condition.
Our formula is simple, yet powerful: beeswax from local apiaries, nourishing coconut oil, natural tree resin, and just a touch of clay. Each ingredient is chosen with intention, sourced sustainably, and crafted with care. Our wax is hand-poured in small batches, ensuring quality and care for the ocean and the surfers who share our values.
We believe surfing is more than just a sport; it's a practice. It's a way to cultivate mindfulness, to be fully present in the moment, to feel the rhythm of the ocean resonate within you.
